Jose Rizal Book by Zaide 2nd Edition

One of best selling books on Rizal, this volume contains new information about the condition in Rizal's times, the attempt of his life in Dapitan, his prophetic views about the Philippines and other data. In particular, it corrects the impression that Rizal had been a "colonial - made hero" and affirms that he was a hero for all seasons and for all people - Filipinos, Spanish and Americans, German, Austrian, Malays, Indonesians, etc. His famous diary, essays, letters and also poems are found either in excerpt or in entirely. His famous novels and incomplete works are also discussed within.

No other biography of Jose Rizal has been read, studied and loved by generations of Filipinos since 1960's as Dr. Zaide's biography on the life, works and writings of Jose Rizal. -- about this book
